We flew out to Birdsville to see the Diamantina in flood. Awesome. We stayed in the Birdsville Hotel and service, cleanliness couldn't be faulted. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Due to the flooding only about 10 people staying at the pub, however, the chef gave us a great meal and we got to mingle with some of the locals who have a wealth of knowledge about the area.
